Is internet connectivity a requirement?

CHECK MY CAMERA performs the test and communicates with customer systems via the internet, and therefore, the system requires the same type of connection used for remote viewing via PC or mobile devise.
In cases where it is not possible to connect the recording system to the Internet or when the system is installed in organizations that do not maintain an internet connection, it is possible to install a Local Machine version of CHECK MY CAMERA. For more information please contact us.

What are the requirements for connection of my recording system?

The only thing required for connection with the CHECK MY CAMERA service is a working internet connection and an medium level password for access.

Does the test affect system activity?

No. The test conducted by CHECK MY CAMERA is short and unobtrusive. It does not interfere with ongoing system operation or with data traffic in any way.

Why is your test preferable to system warnings issued by the device itself?

Reliance on the self-testing mechanism of the device (when available) is like letting the cat watch over the milk. Firstly, how can we know that a given system error has not also affected the system's ability to test itself and issue a correct report?
Secondly, there are many types of events which the system does not detect as faults, for example – accidental changes in system settings would not be detected as a system fault despite their ability to cancel recordings.

What tests are performed as part of the Service?

HEART BEAT TEST
A test that checks the system core, communication line and recording system.

ACTIVE CAMERA TEST
A test that checks whether there are any cameras that are inactive or not connected to the system.

TRUE RECORDING TEST
An comprehensive in-depth test of each and every channel, for confirmation of proper recording from any given moment.

START TO END TEST
A test that is designed to check whether the actual number of days recorded corresponds to requirements.

When is the test is performed?

Tests are performed at least once a day – as per customer requirements.

What is the difference between this system and security services that monitor all of the cameras at all times?

Professional security monitoring centers do not monitor all of the cameras on a continuous basis. Rather, they only monitor specific events that take place.
Furthermore, they do not test system functionality or integrity of recordings in any way.
In addition, even when the security center promises continuous monitoring of all cameras at all times, there is nothing in such services that may ensure the system is indeed recording or saving any recordings it has made.

Does the system view my cameras?

No! CHECK MY CAMERA tests your recording system on a data level only and does not connect with actual camera feed in any way.
All tests are conducted in an automated manner without any human intervention.

CHECK MY CAMERA for Private Homes

Did your neighbor throw trash into your yard? Do you fear someone broke into your home? It is precisely at the most important moments that you will discover that your system has not been storing its recordings and that you have no way of retrieving the data or knowing what went on in your home.
CHECK MY CAMERA automatically tests your system on a daily basis, providing you with immediate warning as required.

CHECK MY CAMERA for Businesses

Businesses invest considerable sums in the purchase of advanced CCTV systems for protection, investigation and monitoring of their premises - but take no action to ensure proper functioning thereof, and so, it is at the most crucial moment that they discover that a certain fault, which had not been discovered in a timely manner, caused the loss of all system recordings.
CHECK MY CAMERA provides business owners with peace of mind that everything that could go wrong is always tested.

CHECK MY CAMERA for Organizations and OEM

The CHECK MY CAMERA system is suitable for on-site installation in organizations and for use of mail servers for internal and external notification distribution.
Security companies and monitoring centers could employ the CHECK MY CAMERA OEM version and offer the service to their customers under their own brand name.
